AOS Quick Action Bar adds a floating contact button or a sticky contact bar to your site: one or more trigger buttons on the side or along the bottom, each opening a panel with the actions you choose — click to call, WhatsApp, email, a booking link, a quote form, or any URL.

Unlike simple link bars or social button plugins, each button group in this plugin has its own expandable panel with configurable layout, background, grid columns, and item cards. All settings are reflected in a live admin preview without saving.

  5. Enable the plugin and save — the bar appears on your site immediately

GDPR / Privacy

The optional click tracking stores only anonymous integer counts (total clicks per button) in your site’s own database. No personal data — no IP addresses, no cookies, no browser fingerprints. A ready-to-use privacy policy text template is included in the admin panel.

Installation

  1. Upload the aos-quick-action-bar folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate via Plugins Installed Plugins
  3. Navigate to Settings Quick Action Bar to configure

Does this plugin slow down my website?

No. The plugin outputs a small inline configuration block and a single lightweight JavaScript file. No jQuery, no external CSS files, no icon fonts are loaded. Scripts are only enqueued when at least one group is active.

Is the click tracking GDPR-compliant?

Yes. The tracking feature counts anonymous totals per button — nothing else. No IP addresses, cookies, session identifiers, or fingerprints are stored or transmitted. A privacy policy text template is included in the admin panel that you can copy directly into your privacy policy page.

Can I show the bar only on specific pages?

Yes. Under Display Rules you choose between Everywhere, Only on selected, and Everywhere except selected. You can target the front page, the blog index, archives, search results and the 404 page, whole content types (every post, every page, any public custom post type), and individual posts or pages by ID.

A common setup is Everywhere except selected with the contact page excluded, so the bar never duplicates a form the visitor is already looking at.

What happens if I pick a mode but no targets?

The bar keeps showing everywhere, and the settings screen says so. A half-finished rule never blanks the bar across your whole site — you have to name at least one target before anything changes.

Do the display rules also stop the JavaScript from loading?

Yes. The same check governs the markup and the script, so pages where the bar is hidden load neither. Nothing is hidden with CSS after the fact.

Does it work with any theme?

Yes. The widget is injected into wp_footer and uses fixed positioning, so it renders correctly regardless of theme layout.

Can I use it as a bottom bar instead of a side widget?

Yes — enable Bar Mode in the General settings to render a full-width horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen instead of the floating side widget.

Is it compatible with caching plugins?

Yes. The optional AJAX click tracking endpoint is excluded from page caches by most caching plugins automatically. Static page output contains no dynamic data.

How do I add my own icons?

The plugin ships with 30+ Feather icons. Additional icon sets are not supported in the current version.
