Add a tracking number to an order, and Dispatchio picks the right order status, emails the customer a working tracking link, and shows the shipment in My Account.

Everything described below is included and fully functional. There is no licence key, no trial period and no usage limit.

Add tracking to any order

Unlimited tracking numbers per order, added from a box on the order edit screen.

Works with High Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and with the classic post-based order tables.

Built-in carriers with ready-made tracking URLs, plus your own custom carriers.

Rename any built-in carrier, give it API aliases, and set its own tracking URL.

Ship part of an order: pick the products and quantities that went in this parcel.

Add a short note to a shipment that the customer sees alongside the tracking link.

Carrier auto-detect suggests the carrier from the shape of the tracking number, which makes barcode scanning fast.

Mark a tracking number as a return so it never changes the outbound order status.

A fulfillment workflow, not just a text field

Four optional order statuses: Shipped, Partially Shipped, Updated Tracking and Delivered.

Each status is a real WooCommerce order status with its own customer email.

Every email has an editable subject, heading, intro and extra content.

Optionally show the standard "Completed" status as "Shipped" instead.

Tracking details are appended to your existing WooCommerce emails, and you choose which ones.

A Tracking column in the orders list shows what has shipped at a glance.

Import and automate

CSV import with a preview step, per-item SKU and quantity support, and duplicate protection.

REST API endpoints that match the shape used by other tracking plugins, including a bulk endpoint, authenticated with standard WooCommerce API keys.

Estimated delivery dates, calculated from the days you set per carrier.

Switching from another tracking plugin

Dispatchio reads and writes the same order meta key that other popular tracking plugins use. Tracking numbers already on your orders appear immediately. There is no import step and nothing to migrate.

Built to be safe

Every AJAX and admin action verifies a nonce and a user capability.

Every database query is prepared or uses the WordPress query builder with explicit column formats.

Uploaded CSV files are size-capped, content-checked, stored in a directory that denies direct web access, and deleted once processed.

Deleting the plugin leaves your order tracking data alone unless you explicitly ask for it to be removed.

Documentation

A Documentation page is built into the plugin, under Dispatchio > Documentation. It explains every setting, the CSV format, the REST endpoints and the developer hooks, so you never have to leave your dashboard to look something up.

Dispatchio Pro

Dispatchio Pro is a separate plugin, available from the plugin's website. It adds live carrier delivery tracking, a fulfillment dashboard, scheduled FTP and SFTP imports, shipping app integrations, PayPal and Stripe tracking sync, shipment analytics, a public tracking page, outbound webhooks and WP-CLI commands. Pro replaces this plugin rather than unlocking parts of it, and none of its code is included here.

External services

This plugin does not connect to any external or third-party service. It makes
no outbound network requests of any kind: no analytics, no phone-home, no
licence check, no remote API. Everything it does runs entirely on your own
site, and no data ever leaves it.

One point worth clarifying, because it is easy to misread the code. The plugin
ships a list of shipping carriers, and each carrier has a tracking-page address
such as the UPS, USPS or India Post tracking page. Those addresses are stored
as data and used to build an ordinary HTML link, which is shown to you on the
order screen and to your customer in their order and emails. The plugin never
requests those addresses itself and sends nothing to them. A request only
happens if a person chooses to click the link, at which point their own browser
navigates to that carrier's website, exactly as it would from any other link,
and that visit is governed by the carrier's own terms and privacy policy.

If you would rather not show a particular carrier at all, untick it on the
Shipping Carriers tab and it will not appear anywhere.

Install and activate WooCommerce.

Upload the plugin to
/wp-content/plugins/
, or install it from Plugins > Add New, then activate it.

The setup wizard opens automatically. Pick your carriers and confirm the order statuses you want.

Open any order and use the Dispatchio box to add a tracking number.

Does this plugin send SMS or WhatsApp notifications?

No. Dispatchio sends email only. Dispatchio Pro exposes developer hooks that pass the order and the customer's phone number to a separate SMS plugin or custom code, but neither edition sends messages itself.

Will tracking numbers from my previous tracking plugin still work?

Yes. Nothing needs to be imported.

Do I need an account with a tracking service?

No. Every feature in this free plugin works entirely on your own site with no external account and no outbound connections. Live carrier tracking, which does use a third-party service, is a Pro feature.

Does it work with High Performance Order Storage?

Yes. Dispatchio declares HPOS compatibility and works with both HPOS and the legacy order tables.

Can I add a carrier that is not on the list?

Yes.
