RapidLoad Power-Up for Autoptimize

Automated unused CSS removal + critical CSS generation for WordPress [PAID PREMIUM PLUGIN]

Many WordPress themes and plugins load all of their CSS everywhere by default – not just the places you need it. This slows down your website & damages the user experience… directly impacting your bottom line.

Works perfectly with

  • WP Rocket
  • LIteSpeed Cache
  • Cache Enabler
  • W3 Total Cache
  • Wp Super Cache
  • WP Fastest Cache
  • WP Optimize
  • Proxy Cache Purge

RapidLoad can reduce CSS file sizes up to 95%. It’s automatic too – which means it will continue removing UnusedCSS when users view your pages.

RapidLoad extends Autoptimize to automatically find CSS that’s not being used, then prevents it from loading on the page. By reducing the total CSS file size and page weight, RapidLoad can significantly reduce load times. It even improves the performance of other optimizing plugins and extensions, like CriticalCSS. RapidLoad for Autoptimize plugin integrates with the 3rd party service rapidload.io API to remove unused CSS. (See Pricing plans – https://rapidload.io/pricing)

Simply install, activate the plugin, and follow the onboarding steps. This will quickly connect you to the rapidload.io service, and you can see the results for yourself.

  • Analyze the site before connecting to the service.

Read it here : https://rapidload.io/terms-conditions/

How does this plugin speed up my site?

RapidLoad analyzes the content of your WordPress pages and the CSS files used by your themes and plugins. It checks for CSS that is being loaded, but not applied and removes those unused CSS selectors from your files, reducing the overall file size and page weight. Smaller files = faster sites!

Still seeing remove unused css flag in Google page speed insights ?

Run a GPSI status test on your optimization url to confirm whether RapidLoad optimizations are properly reflected to public users. if it is pending it is because of the page cache in your site. clear your page cache and try again.

My Site is broken after using RapidLoad. What can i do ?

There is a possibility the page can be broken with RapidLoad as it does the removal automatically. you can easily fix broken elements with safelist rules. we recommend to turn on “Load Original CSS files” and add safelist rules. if you are not sure how to add safelist rules create a support ticket in https://rapidload.zendesk.com/hc/en-us one of our support member will help you out .

Do I need to run this every time I make a change?

No! RapidLoad works in the background, so any new stylesheets that are added will be analyzed and optimized on the fly. Just set it and forget it!

Will this plugin work with Woocommerce?

Absolutely. RapidLoad works with Woocommerce, Woocommerce themes, and Woocommerce plugins.

Will this plugin work with other caching plugins?

RapidLoad works with all major caching plugins. If you are using a little known caching plugin and are experiencing issues with RapidLoad, please submit your issue and caching plugin name to our support team and we will review.

How is this plugin different from CriticalCSS?

RapidLoad looks for CSS that is not being applied at all and stops it from being loaded. CriticalCSS looks for CSS that needs to be applied when the page begins loading and reorders it based on priority.

How do exclusions work?

RapidLoad accepts both broad and star(*) expressions and regular expression exclusions of CSS selectors. You can add your exclusions in the unused CSS tab of the Autoptimize plugin settings.

The plugin works better then expected. It reduced pages loading time by a lot, expecially combined with other suggested plugins. Support team helped me to define best settings and now page load speed score has grown from 30 to 70. Best investment you can do if you want to rank in SEO and speed up you shop.

Global Obstructive ads throughout the WP admin - without don't show more button. Most important features are paid, the free features possible to get with almost every CSS plugin - without any obstructions. Recommendation to developers: Please do not occupy global notification space or any other spaces on other people's admin areas, with banners without close [x] and don't show again buttons. Suggestion for ads: Last tab(s) in the plugin's settings page(s) is the best place to advertise upsells / cross-sells. Use last navigation buttons and links to tip users about additional services offer pages. If I have installed your plugin - I know what you sell as I've read a description, isn't it? Those who don't read will not be bringing money to you regardless - those who invest money, invest time too..

I've been using this new plugin for a couple of months and have seen huge improvements in my Core Web Vitals and Page Speed scores, which I'm very happy about and which was the initial reason I was interested in the plugin. However the equally impressive thing to me has been the Support Team behind the plugin. They have been very responsive, collaborative and active about the issues I had, even updating the plugin to resolve an issue very soon after it appeared. This to me is the indicator of a very passionate, experienced and competent team behind the coding and should mean it has a strong future. Thank you!

I paid for this plugin a couple of months ago and have been testing it extensively. I see a massive reduction in CSS size (between 65 and 75% on average for my posts). I have about 500 posts on my site, so overall it's made a significant improvement to the speed of my website. I didn't realise at first that it can generate Critical CSS too, saving another plugin; this works exceptionally well for me too. I have used Google PageSpeed to measure my results on Mobile and Desktop on a variety of pages. I see significant improvements with the plugin enabled. The documentation is clear. I had a few small layout issues that needed a few CSS classes adding to the Safelist; this was well documented on the website. I asked for support, and that was prompt (typically, just a few hours). This is important for me. Reading some of the 1-star reviews, I struggle to understand how they can be real? These reviews are incredibly unfair to the plugin author(s). A big thank you and thumbs up from me. 5-Stars from me.

The plugin significantly improved load times. The support is always there: I asked for help to optimize settings, they acted quickly. My site CSS size went from 50k before to 10k after their fine tuning. It was an excellent excellent before, it is astounding now. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

It does a great job of removing unused CSS on a website. This is especially useful when one uses a page builder and many plugins that all bloat up CSS. However it is tricky to setup. It removed quite a bit of CSS that was used by elements that were only shown with javascript and it also removed one or two rules where I have no idea why. I was able to fix these issues with the safelist selectors and custom css you can enter on the admin page. For us it made a noticeable difference in the page Speed ratings on google however not so much as other easier optimizations (for example images). And I am quite happy with the job it does now. Given how complex the task is it tries to perform I believe it works reasonable well and I don't think a zero configuration solution will ever exist. However for many customers I assume the result will not be worth the effort. The support was fast and helpful.
